CHROMJUWELEN MOTOR ÖL:
TRANSFORMING A DIGITAL BRAND INTO A DESIRED PRODUCT
Otto Mathé inspired us for the concept of a custom tailored engine oil for the sensible needs of a classic car. The Austrian car race legend himself developed and used his own oil for his cars and won race after race.
It was love on first sight, when we met Mathy, the company that manages Otto Mathé’s heritage. Within two years, we developed a motor oil in two different viscosities. Custom tailored for classic engines operated only a few months per year and tolerates long periods in between use.
We developed the packaging, the merchandise, the ad campaign, the pr and brought the brand to life.
The Fetzenflieger was Mathés famous race machine, which is shown on the packaging. The car is exhibited in Hamburgs Prototyp Museum. Its museum shop sells the oil for these machines.
Another reason for developing the oil was to reach new target groups for Chromjuwelen. Press work, fair visits and classic car events helped to get the brand and the product popular and desirable.
Meanwhile Chromjuwelen Motor Öl is a standard for classic cars. The oil was published in various national and international press, including Monocle, Elle Decor, wallpaper* magazine, ramp, Motoraver, AUTO BILD and diverse car magazines.
Designers, car lovers and builders in Europe, Asia or in the US, such as Porsche legend Magnus Walker uses the oil in their sensible vehicles. Visit the website and try it out:
